Remembering Mary Fran Meer

Haiku Northwest lost one of its long-time members in July of 2019. Mary Fran Meer was the first regional coordinator of the Northwest haiku region of the Haiku Society of America, and edited its first anthology, Echoes Across the Cascades, in 1994, also writing its introduction. Mary Fran lived from July 7, 1922 to July 6, 2019, dying one day shy of her 97th birthday.
