Carol O’Dell
Port Townsend, Washington
An “Army Brat,” Carol O’Dell spent her childhood in a number of countries. She wrote her first haiku in 1999. Several of these haiku were published in The Heron’s Nest. Carol enjoys living with her family, husband Christopher Herold, and daughter Vanessa Herold in Port Townsend, Washington. She finds that working is getting in the way of writing haiku these days, but hopes to have more time in the future.
snow-covered field
the impressions
of angels
the kite soars
to the end of the string
indigo sky
with soft lips
she plucks the purple thistle
shetland pony
blues on the bay
how heavy it's become
this December sky
river
the moon slowly ripples
downstream
