I had been writing haiku since grade school using the 5-7-5 format and then recently started reading about other forms and tried those and took off. I have been a member of the World Haiku Association since 2006 and have been published through them since then.

well watered

rows of planted young trees

will never grow

out of the darkness

her arm wraps

around me

with my glasses

i have found

my father’s hands

a jumping spider

moves me from

my seat

after the bailout

they give themselves

a big party
