Scott Mason
We are pleased to welcome Scott Mason as our featured presenter for the 2017 Seabeck Haiku Getaway (our tenth anniversary retreat).
About Scott
Scott Mason first learned about haiku on a hiking trip in Japan. Since 2002 he has been the recipient of more than 150 haiku awards, including first-place finishes in more than 20 international competitions. In 2017 Scott launched his first book, The Wonder Code: Discover the Way of Haiku and See the World with New Eyes, which Michael McClintock has called “a superb piece of work and a book that I think will be read and reread for generations.” Scott is an editor with The Heron’s Nest and an executive committee member of the Katonah Poetry Series, near where he lives in Chappaqua, New York.
