Seabeck Haiku Getaway 2017 Registration Form

The 2017 Seabeck haiku retreat will run from Thursday afternoon, October 26, to Sunday lunchtime, October 29, with optional Sunday-afternoon activities. See the 2017 retreat schedule. We’ve tried to keep the fee as bare-bones as possible. Although we had to raise the rates slightly for 2017, by $15, we still think it’s a bargain. It’s just $240 for three nights of accommodations, nine meals, and all retreat activities if you register by September 22, 2017 (or $274 after that postmark date). If you can’t come until Friday night, the rate is $200 (or $234 after September 22). For day visitors (pick your day or days, including lunch and dinner each day, but not breakfast), the fee is $65 per day (or $79 after September 22).
Accommodations are typically shared, sometimes with shared hallway bathrooms. Rooms are limited, so we encourage you to double-up if possible (we will pair you with a roommate unless you have your own roommate preference or request a private room). If you require a private room, fees are a minimum additional $40 per night if you stay for the entire conference (slightly higher per night if you stay for fewer nights). Please contact us about reduced rates for children (rates depend on age; free age two and under). We also have a spouse/partner rate (if your significant other would like to attend, but does not participate in the haiku activities—although they are welcome to attend and contribute to our evening talent show, and any events at which you are presenting or reading). We’ll be staying in Reeser (our accommodations for the first Seabeck retreat ten years ago), the Historic Inn, the Annex, Madrona, and Tamarack, with the historic Meeting House as our new primary meeting room (much larger than the Colman House that we used previously). In all, we trust that you will find our 2017 retreat to be even better than our previous ones, so please do sign up!
Registrations accepted from August 1, 2017 to October 20, 2017 (please do NOT register before August 1). Early registration discount ends September 22, postmark date (but please also email Angela Terry at amterry9@comcast.net to say your registration is coming, if you register close to or after September 22). Registration MAY be possible after October 20, especially for day visitors—please inquire.
Priority booking: We’ve booked about the same number of rooms this year. We don’t expect to fill up, but in case we do, priority will be given to a) people attending the entire retreat, b) the date we receive your payment, and c) if necessary, people willing to share a room. Please note that an increasing number of people are requesting private rooms, which reduces the total number of people we can accommodate, so please share if you can. Also note that this year we have very few rooms with private bathrooms.
Cancellation policy: Reservations cancelled by September 22, 2017 are entitled to a full refund, minus a $25 cancellation fee. After this date, partial refunds will be given at the registrar’s discretion, minus at least a $50 cancellation fee. You must email or phone us by September 22 to cancel your reservation. Note: It is possible that we may not be able to make any refunds after the cancellation date, but if we can, any refunds will be subject to at least a $50 cancellation fee.
Note: Your fee includes all the meals indicated. If you expect to miss any meals, such as Sunday lunch (if you might be leaving before lunch), please let us know so we can inform the kitchen. This will help reduce food waste.

Payments from Canada: We can deposit Canadian cheques. Please check the current exchange rate and determine how much money in Canadian dollars you have to pay to equal the U.S. amount due.
